This week, the St. Francis Breadline was thrilled to welcome team Shake Shack for the first time! Starting as a small cart in Madison Square Garden Park, Shake Shack has grown to become one of New York City’s most popular hot dog and hamburger food chains.
On Thursday afternoon, volunteers from Shake Shack and Bombas served up fresh hamburgers, french fries and cold beverages to over 100 of our Breadline guests. It is not often that those living on the streets have a choice in what they eat, let alone a choice between all-natural chicken or Angus beef.
We are appreciative to have partners like Shake Shack and Bombas on our side, as well as supporters like you. Any donation you can make, large or small, will help to provide daily meals to our 400 guests, many of whom are homeless, disabled, veterans or just struggling to make ends meet. We rely on your generosity so that many who don’t have the basic necessities of life can have some relief from hunger and thirst. They need your care and support now!
